Mint and Coriander Chutney Recipe

When talking about classic Indian recipes this simple chutney has to be up there. You’ll find this chutney on most tables in India every day. Refreshing, cooling and spicy all at the same time this chutney is a must if you are cooking any Indian dish.

Mint Chutney Ingredients

4 green chillies
2 large handfuls of coriander
A dash of water
1 large handful of mint
1 pinch of salt (to taste)
juice from 1 lemon

Method

You don’t need to worry too much about the quantities with this recipe. Simply place all of the ingredients into a food blender and pulse down until a smooth thin paste is formed. The chutney should be thin enough to pour so just add some water if too thick.

This mint chutney is usually served on its own in a small bowl however it works equally well added to natural yogurt and served as a cool raita.
